Product presentation
SOPRAVAP’R is a self-adhesive air and vapour barrier membrane composed of SBS modified bitumen and resistant to foot traffic. The width of the membrane was designed so that it fits with the top flutes of most steel deck profiles. Thus, the area covered by a roll is optimized and waste is reduced. SOPRAVAP’R can be applied at low temperatures without requiring primer on steel deck. When used in a low-slope roof membrane assembly, SOPRAVAP’R acts as a barrier to air intrusion into the roofing system, reduces membrane deflection and billowing, and contributes to the increase of wind uplift resistance.
Advantages
- Factory-controlled consistent thickness
- Self-sealing properties for mechanically fastened systems
- No thermal barrier required
- Can serve as a temporary roof in most situations
